Isolda Fairamay
No one at the Golden Oak Inn quite knows for sure what the past has held for the shy and quiet fair maiden who entered the Inn one stormy night, drenched from head to toe and rather distraught, mumbling of her home on the southern shores of England, but not giving any specifics. Estela was the first to meet Isolda Fairamay, providing her with a set of dry clothing and a warm bed for the night, not pressing for details.
Isolda's delicate manners coupled with the fineness of the linen and wool from which her clothes are made lead one to believe Isolda may be of noble birth but she never treats anyone as if they are beneath her. As well, it seems Isolda has a keen interest in sewing. The ladies of the Golden Oak try desperately to aid Isolda by teaching her new techniques but they are always met by her fierce independence with the needle and thread.
Frequenting the Inn of an afternoon or perhaps a night here and there, Isolda's quietness allows her the ability to lend a good ear to all those who need to empty their hearts, especially to a young maiden who looks to Isolda as a mother she seems to lack.
And although no man ever accompanies the fair Isolda to the Golden Oak, her heart seems to belong to a rather roguish Roman soldier who swaggers about the place.
