Lugg
Lugg was born on the coldest day remembered by his clan, “Bearshoulders”, in the cold frozen north of these known lands. As a child he took to many forms of combat and was always quick to anger and was known for his fierce approach to most conflicts. He was only calmed by the touch of a woman or child. This is where his downfall lies. Even though large in stature, woman knew it was Lugg’s heart that was largest.
On his first raid to the English shores, there came upon his father’s ship, a fierce storm called upon by Niord, the Viking sea god, this storm sent the vessel crashing upon the distant shores of The Barony of Ruantallan where he was found washed upon the shore among the debris of what was his father’s ship. Lugg was then placed in chains by one named Lord Scamarax the Bearcatcher. He took to being a slave very slowly and found the beatings he took bettered his temper and he began to understand the strange ways of these new and very different lands.
It was when his master Lord Scamarax placed a weapon in his hands that Lugg did feel once again complete and he began to practice, sparring with Lord Scamarax daily finally showed his master that he could be trusted. Soon the great chains were removed from Lugg and he was allowed to do as he saw fit and always remember that he represented a noble house and family and therefore should be respectful and chivalrous at all times.
A time came in the Barony when many boat loads of scavengers came upon his masters shores. It was then Lugg came to his own. With his blade he went to war alongside his master and defeated these scavengers sending their headless corpses to a watery grave.
It was some time later that Lord Scamarax’s dearest and most radiant wife, the Lady Melisande du Rocher, presented him with his first tabard as it was at this time that his master Lord Scamarax gave him his freedom. Lugg did not take his freedom even when it was given to him as he swore a blood oath he would always be a member of his masters house and would now and forever be Lord Scamarax’s and Lady Melisande’s servant if they ever had need of him.
Lugg has travelled from The Barony of Ruantallan to the distant shores of The Barony of Seagirt and has had the honour to train under many noble and honoured fighters and knights across these lands.
This loud and boisterous Viking was honoured to be asked to join this happy home of nuts as it has been a long time since he was able to take a great horn of fine mead and sit by the fire of this house and call it his home. Lugg is now part of the Golden Oak Brute Squad. Actually he is the Brute Squad.
Lugg received a Queen Honour of Distinction from Queen Alethea.
