My name is Dominus Spurius Genucia. I am from the family Rutilus. We are a stubborn family and will not compromise our values for anyone. We have adopted the value Vos may effrego mihi tamen mos nvnqvam sinvs mihi and I have defined my life by it. We have worked with the other great families of the Empire since time immemorial to establish a standard that all should be proud of. It is us who stood for the people when the Republic made its change to Empire. It is us who ensured that the barbarians were kept at bay. It is us who shed blood for the people to prosper.
What has happened to our world? Our Emperor, Romulus Augustulus, has fallen not with a roar of defiance but with a whisper. The Empire, that I have loved for so long, has fallen to the hoards. There was nothing I could do to stop it. With the fall I have lost all but what I hold most dear to me, my honour.
I have traveled in this new mad world and will do all to maintain what my family has shed so much blood for. I will do what is right and ensure that all may walk in safety. I have reached these shores and have laid my feet at the Inn. I have seen that honour still exists and it gladdens my heart. I will stay here and build my life.
