The Members of the Golden Oak Inn would like to welcome all who visit our site and hope that you enjoy going through our pages. Feel free to explore all of them including the various links.

What we are about:

The Golden Oak Inn was originally located in the canton of Seashire in the Barony of Ruantallan, but now it has members in Kingdom of Ealdormere, the Barony of Ile du Dragon Dormant and in the Principality of Tir-Righ
The Inn has been known to be a stopping point for many travelers, some of which become so comfortable it's practically home. You can learn many things in the main halls, or from the many people who stop by for a visit.

The Inn also hosts a number of celebrations throughout the year and some of its members are actively involved in other groups events. Be sure to check out the What's going on section on the Barony's website, to ensure you don't miss the next great party!

Sewing Class

Every Monday evening you are invited a relaxed gathering at the Halifax MFRC. Bring your projects and your questions to the group of fine seamstresses, and they will do their best to instruct and guide you with your project.

Fight Practice

Also, every Monday evening if you are into Heavy Fighting or Fencing, come to the Multi Purpose Room of the MFRC. We will make it a pleasure to lay a beating on you and at the same time instruct you to lay one on us.

Location: The MFRC in Windsor Park, Halifax. Time: From 7 to 9:30 pm

House Objectives:

  • To support the Barony and each other.
  • To have people feel welcome in social settings and sit as a family would at dinner.
  • To travel as a group to other places.
  • To improve the arts skills and projects of our members.
  • To encourage our members to fulfill their creativity and further themselves in the SCA.
